Having a rooftop terrace was like a dream. Staying adjacent to centro comercial arenas de barcelona and possibility to explore placa d'espanya. Truly a lovely hotel.

The station is based not really far

The rooms are spacious. The entrance hall to the hotel is spacious and modern. . The location is very good, right next to Sants and with a market underneath. At 10 minutes walk from Plaza de España. The staff are very friendly at all times; we asked to make late check out and they allowed us to do so. The amenities include everything: razor, toothbrush, sticks, moisturizer, etc. There was also a sewing kit, and an iron. The room was very clean. On arrival you are given an invitation to have a beer in their restaurant, which is appreciated.
decoration of the rooms has a lot of room for improvement. They are very functional and only decorative element is a giant print of a black and white photo. There are no plugs in the bedside table and to charge the mobile you had to leave it on the desk.. corridors are long, with low ceilings and poor lighting. view from our room was towards a parking lot, although you could see the warmth in the distance. We were left with the desire to see the bar on the terrace and try the hamburgers, since it closes during the winter. menu of the restaurant didn't seem to be much, we decided to eat out.

The location is the best thing about the hotel. Being next to Sants-SEstació is ideal. It is also appreciated that on the third floor (dining room) there are fresh water jugs for the guests. Thank you!
1. When we arrived, the lady in reception who attended us did not speak a word of Catalan. She was very kind, but I think that being in the reception of a 4 star hotel in the middle of Barcelona she should be able to communicate in the two official languages of the autonomous community. We were surprised that this was the case. As there is central air in the whole hotel, the guests can only control the intensity of the air in the rooms. The temperature was quite high. Although we turned it off in the room and opened the balcony door we were between 25-30 degrees, without exaggerating. The truth is that it was a bit uncomfortable, especially at night to be at those temperatures. We talked to reception, but they couldn't do anything about it because the central air can't be changed. And with the balcony open, you can hear a lot of noise from the street.

What I liked best was the spaciousness of the room and very large, new TV. As for the location it is very good to move around in transport or walking to see Barcelona. the staff at the reception is very friendly.
In this section I make some suggestions for improvement:. - Cleaning: Every day we found trays on the floor in the corridors of the rooms with food remains that could stay more than one day and nobody picked them up. If there is food service in the room, we should take care of this because it spoils the whole image of the hotel. The same goes for the ironing boards that were on the floor in the corridors. - Bed: the pillows were very uncomfortable (this is something personal) and as for the bedding, being between 25 and 30 degrees outside, it was excessive that there was only a duvet to tuck in. It would be better to put a sheet on too that with that temperature outside was enough. If you tucked in you would suffocate and if you developed, you could get a little cold. - Room: As I mentioned before it's quite nice but I had chosen a room with a balcony. If I chose to pay more for a balcony it was so that I could sit and enjoy the outdoors. However, I find myself with a big balcony without a little table or a chair... forced to be inside the room all the time. -Pool: Too small and too old to be a four-star. We went upstairs one day and didn't come back. You couldn't even fit in one place. - Terrace: Too expensive, made for foreigners. We asked for two coffees and they charged us, I think I remember, about 5 euros.. one and no more.

Proximity to the main station.

Well, to begin with, the first thing to say is that the treatment of the staff is excellent, they are not only friendly but also professional.
As topics to highlight in a negative way I have several:. Reserve a double room with a double bed. I enter the room I see a room with two separate single beds. At least if it had a bathtub, as indicated in the reservation. Secondly, in the restaurant they took more than half an hour to serve us the second course, they even served a couple first who were commanded 20 minutes later and asked for exactly the same thing, makes me think it was a confusion. being New Year's Eve, we won't give it a second thought either. One thing that worries me a lot, in all the hotels I go to, is the soundproofing capacity of the rooms, room where I stay, in this matter, left a lot to be desired. I could hear perfectly well the conversations in the next room. To top it off, they started and ended the party in the room, so at 7. 00 you can imagine.

So close to plenty of the attractions

Location
This room has no fridge, no key to the safe, there is no easy access to one of the beds. There is no elevator to the roof terrace and pool. Pool was not working either in the morning or evening. On the roof instead of the promised restarana only bar and restaurant the hotel at 23:00 did not work. Potytalis take for a room full price, I had to insist on the price by booking with Booking.tsom. At the 4 star and not pulling

Excellent point of contact at reception. She welcomed me to the hotel and all in all, staff were superb. The business centre staff in particular were very helpful. Well done
I think the swimming pool should be open in warm weather even if it is before may 1. I arrived from London to the Expo and it was very warm(for someone who is English) and I was disappointed that the swimming pool was closed. You need to be flexible I think. Can't the pool open for the last week in April onwards? Never mind, the kind lady on reception organised for me use the pool in your sister hotel nearby which was fine.
